These are some of the finished paintings done by a few of my students that have taken my workshops.  We'll be adding more images as previous students send in their images of finished paintings.  I provided the sketches to transfer and did the step-by-step demonstration during the class.

The students worked during class and at home as well.  A couple of the students finished the classroom work and then did the second painting at home with even more improvement.

If you are a former student of one of my workshops, I invite you to send me a jpeg image at 100 DPI of one or two of your paintings that you did during or after the workshop.  I'll display them on this web site for all to enjoy.

Those artists that follow along with the demonstrations that I've posted and will post in the future are welcome submit as well.  Please keep the paintings to the same subjects as the demonstrations.

Workshop Example

This snow scene is one of the paintings that I demon-strated during two 3-hour class periods at the Luepke Center in Vancouver, Washington.

This waterfall scene is another of the paintings that I demonstrated during two 3-hour class periods at the Luepke Center in Vancouver, Washington.

These are students samples of the finished paintings that was done during and after the class.

This painting was done by Barbara Daniel.

I thought this was handled very well.  I've seen a lot of progress in Barbara's work during the time she's been in class with me.

This painting was done by Loretta Smith.

A very nice surprise when I saw this painting.  She said she struggled a little keeping the whites.  I think it turned out great.  Good job!

This painting was done by Bob Borth.

I was impressed with Bob's work.  He finished his paintings at home and sometimes did two!  That's dedication for learning new techniques.

This is another snow scene that I demonstrated during the 3-day workshop at the
Artists Studio Group
in
Lincoln City, Oregon.

This painting was done by
Cliff Vengley.

Impressive - he added the fence line as well as a small rabbit in the lower left hand corner - a "heartbeat".  Nice job Cliff - well done!

Cliff's waterfall is well done.  If he places a few more mid-darks and darks in specific areas it's a winner.

This was one of the scenes that I demonstrated during the 3-day workshop at the
Coos Art Museum
in
Coos Bay, Oregon.

This painting was done by
Debbi Manders.

Impressive - she did a very nice sky and the boat is well  done also.  The mid-ground hills are well done with colors that mingle together.  A few dark shadows on the building will help the overall painting.
